Prior to commencing work at Physioedge in 2003, he initially worked at Hove and Lockleys providing rehabilitation services (including hands-on treatment, hydrotherapy, pilates and gym classes) and out-patient physiotherapy treatment. Having a keen interest in sports and musculoskeletal injuries, Jamie has worked with many sporting teams in the past which include Glenelg Football Club (Juniors), Flinders Park Football Club, Walkerville Football Club, Western Warriors Football Club, Adelaide City Women’s Premier League Soccer Team, Cheerio and Cougars State League Netball Clubs. In February 2011, Jamie completed his Level 3 Sports Physiotherapy Course at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra. In addition to this qualification, he has also completed his Pilates Certificate (Level 1) through Dance Medicine Australia, Dry Needling Certificate, Dean Watson’s Headache Institute training , International College of Biomechanics (Lower limb) Certificate and many others. Jamie’s commitment to the profession is reflected in the attendance and maintenance of continuing professional development in order to provide his patients with the best possible outcomes.
Leanne Brooks

Leanne worked in the UK for 2 years as a physiotherapist in oncology and palliative care (hospice, day care community including pain and scar management including post mastectomy, use of TSE and TENS and rehabilitation) as well as acute orthopaedic inpatients, spinal surgery, total knee and hip replacements and arthroscopies. Leanne also assisted in setting up a rehabilitation service for chronic orthopaedic conditions (including amputees) and outpatients. Leanne has worked for an ergonomics company doing functional capacity assessments and occupational dictionary and job assessments in industry. Physiotherapist and partner of Physioedge since 2003, Leanne has also worked offsite in the mining industry providing hands on treatment, rehabilitation, back care education sessions and job assessments since 2006. Leanne has in excess of 10 years experience with amateur football teams as a trainer/physiotherapist including Sacred Heart Old Collegians Football Club and Western Warriors Football Club. Leanne was head physiotherapist for Cougars State League Netball team for 2 years and has previously been involved voluntarily as a physiotherapist for numerous softball, baseball and netball championships, including the State Under 19 Netball Championships in Queensland. Leanne has a keen interest in spinal care, headaches and prevention of injury. In 2013 Leanne qualified as a PINC cancer rehabilitation physiotherapist. This enables her to provide individualised prescribed rehabilitation to any women over 25 diagnosed with cancer. Leanne treats any type of cancer following surgery, during and after chemotherapy/radiotherapy. She is passionate about ensuring cancer clients reach their full potential, limiting complications following cancer treatment.
Shane Atkins

Shane has over 17 years of clinical experience and professional training. Shane provides a number of solutions for your foot & ankle problems. Foot care is an important part of your general health and well being. This is why Shane offers a broad range of preventative and corrective podiatric services to treat common conditions such as corns, callouses and routine nail care as well as more complex conditions such as heel pain, diabetic foot care and orthotic therapy. Shane can also treat painful in grown toe nails conservatively or with permanent surgical correction for more chronic cases. Developmental problems in children such as flat feet, in toeing (pigeon toe) and growing pains can all interfere with correct growth and activity. Podiatry can play an important role in providing relief and preventing long term complications in these conditions.
